No intentionally rude behavior. No rude activity on camera, including the dude who was freebasing cocaine. No obscenities in chat or other abuse. I’d apologize because I threw out someone’s friend for that last night, but given the bomber attacks, no. That is not acceptable behavior. If it acts like a bomber, it is.

At 7:00 on Saturday, we will play a recording of Naomi Pardue singing “My Thousand Closest Friends.” Then I will ask if people would like to break into two groups, an ‘absent friends’ circle, and an open circle, and take a vote.

I feel like having people vote with their feet is more effective than a majority vote for the circle split. If 45% of the circle wants to split, then a result of a majority saying "nope" is no split and 45% being unhappy; the result of a foot vote for which circle you want to be in either results in one circle (and the 55% being happy) or two circles, likely one much smaller (and more than 55% are likely "happy enough").

My reaction to the cursing incident is mixed. On the one hand, I get really tired of people spewing curses and anger on Internet forums and don't want to normalize it.

On the other hand, if the incident was the one I think it was, the singer was introducing a song about her abusive ex-husband, giving some background information, and the comment was in support of her, the curse word directed at the ex-husband. That's not very similar to a "bombing" incident, where people invade a conference or singing session just to be disruptive. I would have issued a warning first.

The cursing incident was a kid zoom bombing the room. I was there for that.
