Where is a TARDIS when you need one?

It looks bad for my scheduled kick-off(!) concert at 7:00 at ConCertino. The bus I am on, which was supposed to get to South Station at 4:40, is unlikely to make it before 6 or 6:30, because of a lot of road construction and a crash.   -- Hold the presses, my seatmate says the driver is making a detour in the direction of Hartford which could save us half an hour. That would still be dicey for getting there by 7. I just can't tell. Maybe an Uber or Lyft will do it, but I just can't tell, especially since I barely know the area after 15-16 years away. I hope...


ETA: I'm probably going to take a cab directly from South Station. It'll cost, but it'll be worth it to get me there something like on time.

Owie! And I was really worried about that I was on the opening panel of the recent Swecon at 17 with relatively little margin for the travel there.

Opening stuff should really be placed on people in the vicinity who will be there, or people who arrive the day before or so…

Well, the program organizer did ask for someone who could fill the 7:00 slot. I thought I could. I made a special effort, getting up at seven (SEVEN?- yes, seven) and getting down to the trolley stop in ample time for the itinerary I'd set up. Ah well, the best-laid plans...
