filkI haven't seen anything posted on this, but Katy announced it publicly at FilkContinental. Any errors are mine. I'm working from memory, since my suitcase hasn't made it home yet, and my iPad is in it.
Next year there won't be a FilkContinental, since Kirstin is otherwise occupied. The con's charter says that Kirstin is one of the principals. Instead,katyhh will run a smaller con, called CONtraPunkt. It will be the weekend of September 14-16, 2018, at the Jugendherberge in Wernigerode, Germany (the same location as this year's con). There will be only one guest, who is yet to be announced. I don't know if there's a website for the con.
FilkContinental should resume in 2019.
The name literally translates as "Conterpoint." I hope this doesn't upset anyone.

Small correction ... it is not intended to be a "smaller con" but basically the same thing as FilkCONtinental. We reserved the same number of beds, the size of the con will depend on who is coming :) The "smaller" was referring to "slightly different take on programming" (otoh compared to our four day massive party blowout this year, anything is smaller *g*), a little more relaxed, and "only" one guest. Also, all proceedings of this con will go to charity. Once the website is up and running, I will post :)
