madfilkentistThis was a pretty productive day for me. There are now spreadsheets available for anyone wanting to contribute entries to the filk book index. You can grab either the OpenDocument spreadsheet or the Excel spreadsheet, fill it in with information on a filk book that isn't listed yet or is incomplete, and send it to me.
At this point I don't actually have the software to extract the information, but saving a spreadsheet as tab-separated text and then turning it into the required XML isn't too daunting a task. Getting the first spreadsheet will definitely spur me to finish it, so don't worry that your effort will be wasted (though it's possible that early submitters will have to work with me to debug the process).
I've fallen far behind on this index, and hopefully this will help it to catch up. I've also made an updated zip file of the index, and I'd appreciate it if some people would download it so we have a widely distributed set of backups.
