filkA certain filker has been posting requests for a Hugo nomination in various filk-related places. I'd have to say this isn't in the best of taste. People nominate works for Hugos not because they've been asked to, but because they think they're the most deserving works. At least it should work that way.
Pointing out that a work is eligible is OK, within limits, but asking for a nomination amounts to asking for a favor, which isn't what the nomination process is about.
